Royal Canin, a manufacturer and supplier of dog and cat feed worldwide since 1967, employs more than 6,000 employees worldwide. A subsidiary of Mars, Incorporated, the company also conducts research in the testing and formulation of breed and symptom specific nutritional requirements for dogs and cats. Royal Canin had been looking to add a B2B online channel for veterinarian clinics, breeders and pet retail stores for its Korea market.
Royal Canin partnered with Bluecom to deploy its first B2B E-Commerce project in Asia. Bluecom coordinated with the Royal Canin Korean team and APAC headquarter for a soft launch with key B2B clients, followed by an official launch in Q2 of 2015. Korean country specifics were taken into account for local needs such as payment gateway and checkout process. Complex B2B features were implemented including complex customer segmentation management.
Royal Canin was greatly satisfied with the results of its first B2B online channel and will continue to work together with Bluecom for deployments in other Asian markets such as China and Japan.
